● Disseminated agrometeorological information: water availability, drought, and flood occurrence, etc.
● Developed a dynamic crop calendar for rainfed lowland rice (early, medium, and late maturing types).
● Analyzed the effect of climate change to agricultural sector.
● Estimated rice yield reduction by water stress.
2 AnGR ● Evaluated the characteristics and group structure of the native cattle.
● Investigated features and phenotypes characteristics.
● Prepared publication for the field supply commission.
● Studied the productivity of Lao native cattle raising for smallholder system (2nd year).
3 ANSOFT ● Developed organic fertilizers using organic matter, soil sediment, agricultural by-products.
● Published 3 booklets on rice production, vegetable cultivation, etc.
● Conducted model organic agriculture village (farmer group) for rice cultivation .
● Organized farmer’s training course 5 times.
● Organized model organic agricultural village visit for policy makers.
● Cultivated organic vegetables in model organic agricultural village: 17 farms, 100 vinyl houses.
● Constructed organic farming facility for compost.
4 ATIN ● Collected 200 kinds of agricultural information for translation and digitalization.
● Uploaded 434 materials on AFACI website : crop 100, livestock 97, others 166, publications 71.
● Produced 2 crop calendars on rice and maize: 6,000 copies.
● Build agriculture database education at Lao University.
5 GAP ● Developed approach to introduce GAP system, cabbage as a sample crop.
● Developed GAP manual on cabbage in Lao and prepared to be applied in farmer’s field.
● Supplied cabbage GAP manual development and expand it for other applicable crops.
6 IMPGR ● Collected, regenerated, characterized, assessed and promoted local yard longbean and cucumber in Lao PDR.
● Selected 4 accessions of yard long bean (ATP216, XKH180, KHM159, VTP173)
● Safety duplication of native vegetables.

● Conducted local farmer’s training for effective application of IPM project.
8 Postharvest ● Analyzed problems, determined present status of postharvest management technology on tomato.
● Analyzed problems, determined present status of postharvest management technology on chili pepper.
● Developed postharvest manuals on tomato and chili pepper.
● Applied chili postharvest manual in Vientiane province.
9 Rice ● Conducted field survey on the technological practices of farmers in rice production and damage of pests and diseases in the
central and southern part of Laos. ● Demonstrated cattle manure with chemical fertilizer as a means to increase higher yield in rice yield.
10 Sericulture ● Selected 111 farm households from 6 districts.
● Collected 12 mulberry species, 4 silkworm species.
11 Soil Fertility ● Examined limiting factors in rice growth.
12 Seed-Potato ● Introduced hydroponic system from Korea to improve production quantity and quality of potato (initial stage).
13 Seed-Extension ● Reported that VTE-450-2 and TSN8 were the most preferred seed varieties by farmers during the participatory varieties selection, producing higher yield than control variety at 19% and 16%, respectively.
● Helped 16 farmers (member of the project) to understand the importance of using and producing good quality seed and organic farming systems. New technology has improved their seed productivity average at 29% (3.24 t/ha) compared to normal technology and variety grain production at 2.30 t/ha.
14 APPT ● Conducted technology development of the different models of solar dryer, and technical processing to dry banana at the Horticulture Research Center, NAFRI.
